As a kid, I lived everywhere... Born In Alaska, 4 years in Venezuela on the mighty Orinoco river, 1 year in Africa, 12 different schools in the 6th grade from Burney Falls, CA to Biwabik, Minnesota, 2 years in the Panama Canal Zone, Curundu junior high school rocked, followed up by a year in the outback of Australia, all just a pre funk for the best job in the world, 25 years of Spokane rock radio working with the some of the craziest most talented people in the biz!  What other job would put me in the shower with Ozzy at the old Boone Street Barn,or the opportunity to be a part of the Positive Majority's incredible efforts to round up 40 thousand signatures and deliver the Monsters of Rock to Joe Albi. Not to mention the amazing generosity I witnessed  every year while sitting on a billboard for 2 weeks to raise thousands in cash and toys for Toys for Tots... Then some bean counter decided Spokane was not a rock town (real genius that guy) so I went to south Florida, rocked it in West Palm for a couple of years and then the gods smiled on me as i was given the opportunity to return to the Inland Northwest and be a part of the launch of Rock 94½ ...from hosting 94 and a half hour Christmas marathons to Rock Hard @ the Park and everything in between, and the best part of it all.....hooking up with the Stunt Double JP every weekday morning to rock the Mosh Pit Allstars outta the rack and on to work!

After years of death defying rock radio morning show stunts like broadcasting from inside a giant hot tub filled with hot oatmeal (to benefit the food bank), or standing still while motorcycle mad man Seth Enslow raced toward me doing 90 mph at Unleash the Freaks, or staying on the air for 94 and half hours to raise money and toys for the less fortunate at Christmas, it was finally agreed to by management that I, Gary Allen, (GA) had earned what few in the radio business are ever afforded....a stunt double. From his first day on the job, J P has risked it all on many occasions, ignoring his own safety at Ultimate cage fighting where he keeps a very close eye on the ring girls, or braving the cold waters of a hot summers day rock 94 and a half bikini car wash, not to mention the hours and hours of eye strain he has repeatedly endured just to find a new Miss Racktober.  With this guy in the Rock radio fox hole with me every morning, what could possibly go wrong?
