Black Label Berzerkus 2010 Sep 20 - Knitting Factory

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES –
WELCOME TO THE BLACK LABEL BERZERKUS!
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS 2CENTS

Legendary rocker Zakk Wylde is proud to announce the creation of The Black Label Berzerkus, a rock n’ roll night of excess and unique madness! Headlined by Wylde’s infamous Black Label Society, the extensive two-month long North American trek will also feature 2Cents. Kicking off on September 21st at Roseland in Portland, OR, the tour will make stops across the U.S. and Canada, and will pack a powerful punch of music and debauchery. Zakk Wylde, known worldwide for his guitar prowess and over-the-top stage presence, was looking at other rock festivals and saw the need for a value-priced tour of his own – particularly one that caters to the need of his unique demographic of fans, known as Berzerkers. It was an easy decision, says Wylde, summing it up like only he can, “If you don’t get invited to the party, start your f’ing own!”

Black Label Society’s first new album in four years, ORDER OF THE BLACK, will be released in North America via E1 Music on August 10th. The first single from the album, “Parade Of The Dead” will be delivered to radio later this month and is available now for streaming on www.zakkwylde.com and www.blacklabelsociety.com and for purchase on iTunes: http://bit.ly/bls_parade. ORDER OF THE BLACK will feature four unique covers designed by Zakk Wylde himself – one for each territory: North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand. In the two decades since Ozzy Osbourne hired him away from his job at a New Jersey gas station, Zakk Wylde has established himself as a guitar icon known and revered the world over. Wylde has won nearly every guitar award imaginable, graced countless magazine covers and is a major influence to a new battalion of rock guitarists. Writing and recording with Osbourne led to multi-platinum success, inspiring him to create the now iconic Black Label Society in 1998. In the decade plus since, BLS has turned the notion of what a rock band should be upside down by inspiring legions of fans (known as Berserkers) all over the world to follow the mantra: Strength, Determination, Merciless, Forever (SDMF for short). Wylde and his Berserkers have established a heavy metal institution true to the vision of uncompromising, unfiltered and unrestrained rock n’ roll. To date, Black Label Society has sold more than 3.5 million albums worldwide and continues to be a massive presence on the worldwide touring and merchandising circuits.

Forget about trying to reach the members of fast-rising metallists 2Cents at their homes, as it appears as though the group is constantly on the road. Comprised of the brother tandem Adam (lead vocals, drums) and Dave O’Rourke (guitar, vocals), and Adair Cobley (guitar) and Jason Wendell (bass), 2Cents has completed two legs of touring with Five Finger Death Punch and Shadows Fall, and Korn (as part of the Jagermeister Music Tour). Additionally, 2Cents has played with other notable bands, including Killswitch Engage, Rise Against, Pennywise, Static X, and Gwar, among many renowned acts. 2Cents are touring in support of their latest hard-hitting release, ‘Dress To Kill’ (released April 20th via Eight O Five Records, and produced by Matt Hyde), which manages to combine intensity and melody together, in one hellacious sonic assault.
